That's the equivalent of taking the ML. In the future take whichever has better odds to your benefit between the -1/2 or ML.

Took me time to get the hang of what they all mean, not really with spreads but for bets like O2.75 for example. I wondered what the difference was between a ML and -1/2 considering they are always priced about the same which lead me to what then seemed like an obvious answer.

Right...you were thinking of Barca -0.25 (meaning pk, -0.5). I played the opposite at half-time (pk, +0.5) so I won half my bet, got half back.
