Wainwright came back, Medlen came back, Hudson came back, the list of players who came back is much longer than the ones who didn't come back.
Is Matt Harvey the next Rich Harden???

#38According to Alderson, Harvey had swelling in his forearm, but he had not been experiencing pain in the elbow prior to his last start, just tightness. He has been getting preventative treatment on his elbow since Spring Training and, “He’s been treated for forearm issues for some time,” the GM explained. However, there was no indication of tenderness in the elbow until after his last start.
Harvey will have another MRI and exam once swelling goes down in his elbow.
Alderson said he does not believe this situation is the result of any one instance or decision.
“This is not good news, obviously,” Alderson said, noting that the team will know more over the next two weeks, during which they will better determine his treatment.
“There is plenty of time for us to see how he responds in the near term, but there will always be the open question of how long that ligament will hold up,” he said. “This is not a career-ending injury under any stretch of the imagination. We’re fortunate we have a lot of pitching depth in our organization.”Comment -

#39this was no prediction. there was NO WAY to see this coming, there was nothing wrong with Harveys mechanics. didnt put alot of torque on his elbow or stress on his shoulder/elbow.
just a guy that stepped in shit with his prediction. The Mets are stupid and tried milky everything they could out of Harvey this year instead of taking him slow and building him into a monster career. now they could have posssibly ruined that.
if you look at tape he resembles a young Clemens when Roger first bursted on the scene in regards to mechanics. nothing like Harden.
This guy was not born to throw 100 mph without help...

#40penetrating Mets. if the kid was experiencing forearm "issues" they should have had him on a 150 inning pitch count not 200. unreal.Comment -

first post...listen to the video of press conference from Harvey...he says he hasn't had shooting pains going down his arm or anything like that he was expecting going into the Dr and being told he had tendonitis.
sucks.Comment -

#43Mets should trade Ike Davis, Montero ( the AAA pitcher), Wilmer Flores, John Niese & Jeremy Hefner to Florida for Jose Fernandez and Justin Ruggiano. Also trade Bobby Parnell and Josh Satin to Detroit for Victor Martinez. Victor could be the Mets everyday first baseman.
Then just sign Kuroda and a power bat who can play left or right field and you're good to go Opening Day 2014.Comment -

#44It just goes to show you how amazing Justin Verlander is...
To be able to throw in the high 90's for so many years and stay injury free.
This is why Verlander is worth all that money.
Most hard throwers stay hurt all the time...

it was that 9 inning game they let him pitch. kid should have been on a strict 100 pitch count limit.
Mets season was over back in June. They should have babied him a little moreComment -

#47Miami outside of Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Fernandez have no semblance of a team. You give them all that Major League ready talent and experience just so they can look somewhat decent on a night in and night out basis....believe me they'll consider it.Comment
