It's very important to study weaker teams schedules 2 games in advance. Smaller budget teams with less first class players sometimes choose to field weaker squads vs the Top 3 (Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea) when playing on the road to conserve energy and try and get the 3 points on their next home game especially if the next game is on a short week.

That very rarely happens. Possibly in the last few rounds, but for the most part the weaker teams still have hope for a draw, or a shock win.......If a team like Crystal Palace put out a very weak side away to Manu- they would be criticised for handing Man U the points.
