Pirates/Cardinals Over 7 Looks Like Money
Liriano got shelled in his last outing by Colorado. Miller got shelled in his last outing by a baseball. Miller has been going around 5 innings an outing lately anyway. All it takes is one of these guys to have a bad day, and then we're into overworked bullpens from last night. Pirates bullpen ERA is 2.38 for the last couple of weeks, but their xFIP is at 4.12. Cardinals bullpen xFIP is at 4.24. Both teams are in the top 10 for OBP for the last couple of weeks, with the Cardinals ranking #1 at .363. There will be opportunities to score.

I'm hitting it, and hitting it hard.

Liriano's first career start at Coors...wouldn't read too much into that last start.

Not only that, but he has only given up more than 4+ runs 4 times in 17GS and the last one before his COL start was July 19 @CIN!

Has pitched 3 road games against .500+ teams this year. Two of them were 4+ run games.

Miller's last start is irrelevant but with that said the Pirates should have won yesterday, I think that opens the door for STL today, I think Miller has had time to train his control for this lineup. Hopefully he doesn't get a liner to his right arm again after several pitches.

Wish the bottom of those lineups were better for you here. Lot of pitches last night but both teams did have Monday off. I am hoping both these guys get shelled and the pens are heavy used again. Day game tomorrow.

                        Very well handicapped K.

                        Nice job.

Under. Liriano smoked the Cards last time. Cards NEVER hit lefties well. Miller received some much needed rest after getting hit in the first inning last start.
