Would anyone here reccoment Hot Springs,Arkansas for winter gambling getaway?

''reccomend'' I always wanted to see Hot Springs and The Ozarks area and Oaklawn is a pretty good racetrack.I think on Google I saw where they have an attached casino,just slots?tables too?Now that gas is about $1.50 a gallon in that neck of the woods and you can get there in an all day 15 hour ride from the twin cities it seems like a good choice.Not into Branson north of there but I heard there is lots to do in that whole Ozark area.Lots of people retire there because of cheap cost of living and everything else.Not keen on seeing anything to do with Slick Willy though like his library.

So,does anyone go there alot or live in that area here?I see where you got some sucky weather for the races this week with the storm west of there.Is February weather nice?

I have a crappie fishing vacation right outside Hot Springs at the end of march. Then we will go to Oaklawn Thursday,Friday,Sat,Sun. you will see my name on the Calender for March30,April 1st

If you do go, you will love the corned beef sandwich that Oaklawn serves. Its a tradition at the track.
