Style certainly dominates over substance at SBRforum by a wide margin. I personally wouldn't use the word "win."

People shoot themselves in the foot. It is amazing to me sometimes how little some people have absorbed about betting despite spending so much time 2 inches from knowledgeable people who are willing to help.

The fluff-dominated nature of the forum used to drive me nuts. I wanted a forum that looked smart and would attract smart people. I suppose it still does (drive me nuts) to some extent.

But I have grown much more accepting of it. The more general ignorance there is out there - the more bad ideas that are not shot down - the more time people are posing and playing games instead of learning how to bet effectively - the more losing that goes on and the better it is for the health of the industry.

The sky is not falling and everything will indeed, be OK. SBR attracts both serious-minded gamblers as well as the more recreational, betting-for-fun types. SBR has become more than just a resource for people looking for insight and strategy for an upcoming game. It has become a place where many hangout as well.

How lame would it be if all anyone ever did here was talk about games. Sure you get your silly, sometimes bordering on plain moronic threads throughout the day, but when it boils down to it, the main focus is sports wagering. Whether it be Justin and Ganch dropping serious numbers in other forums, or just a handful of numbskulls like me sweating out the end of a bet in an in-game thread by typing profanities at a quarterback who will never hear us.

Everything will be OK Mudcat. Just let us idiots keep being idiots and you keep on being holier than thou. Bread still loves you.
