I need to get mine done before Obama taxes the shit out of me.

Hold as much as possible until work picks up for me in April and probably bet a bit in the meantime for fun. May put away a few hundred for emergencies or whatever.

get your calculator out and you can add up every pick and every record and it will match my signature thank you for being ignorant yet again, you have very intellectual things to say in the think tank but your negative sayings around here arnt needed, anytime you want a capping contest let me no and name a price...and who claims winnings on their return?

You are missing the point, as usual. If you are a winning sports bettor (or even have a winning year), you need to pay taxes on it.

Ive never paid taxes on gambling winnings. Im sure the extra grand or two I come out ahead a year isnt on the IRS radar. On my off years I cant deduct loses so it all balances out either way.

Call it "no integrity" or bad karma but unless you are making a steady income from sports gambling, I dont see a reason to claim it on taxes.

If you are a breakeven bettor and it does balance out that is a bit different in terms of ethics. I don't think that is what Untilthendoftime has claimed in the past.

We should also remember that most gamblers here dont win. I would even go as far to say that about 5% of bettors at sbr are making 90% of the money.

I'm not getting into the ethics of this at all but with regards to reporting winnings and your age.

18 is the legal age to play the lottery and horse racing in most areas, so putting down gambling winnings under age 21 but still a legal adult shouldn't be an issue.

Whoa, how are u getting money back if youre pretty well off? I guess youre not speaking of being well off as far as how much you make on your job. Lastly, Im still waiting on one of my w2's I worked for about 3 months last year, 2 seperate jobs, Im going to find a gig for a couple of months this year unless I hit a chunk from a book here soon. Employers are bitches why would they still be holding on to someones w2's?
