99% of the forum would have bailed, taken 5 years to pay back, or just created another ghost account and stiffed. Yes Wulf dug himself into that hole but found a solution to get out. If you know the whole story, he did a little more than just "buy points". Who cares how he got them anyways it's his money? Money has been spent on worse things...Comment -

You seem to be so focused on the fact that he used real $$ to purchase points as if that is not appropriate. The points have real $$ value and therefore using real $$ to purchase them is nothing wrong in my opinion.
Again, I feel sorry for Wulf (not in a condescending way) that he ran up his debt and had to resort to spending real $$ to resolve but I have a lot of respect for him taking care of it and not stiffing his debtors.
Last point, I would agree that wulf should try and curb his gambling habits to ensure he is not operating in a negative way for his life and family.
If at the end of the day, wulf is aware of what he is doing and can handle the $$ costs, then who am I to judge?
In a free society, people should be able to do what they want if they are happy and not negatively affecting anybody else.Comment -

The easy way out is begging and scamming your way to paying your debt that never goes away. That is what you do.
At least Wulf was aware of backup plan to resolve his debt and executed the plan once the debt was too large.
You think paying $1200 was easy?? LOL.
You on the other hand have not had the option to bail yourself out and yet you still built an unmanageable debt up.
Grow up, man up and pay off your debt every day and stop complaining and begging.Comment -

#34I have a lot of respect for people who stand up on their own and resolve their issues. While you and I might agree that it was not good for Wulf to build up so much point debt, he did and then resolved most of it by doing something most people would not.

#35with respect i have to respond to that comment. my pts betting got out of hand yes. but i appropriate a certain percentage of my salary every year to gamble and not a penny more. this usually takes place before football season. $1200 is not a small amount for me of course im not white collar but while pts betting i already had the plan set in place that if i lose i will buy points and deduct that from what i reload offshore for 2014. so ill be reloading (% of my salary used for gambling - $1200). this is no way affects me or my family as i have learned that a decade ago when my gambling was out of control. i dont place any bets that i cannot afford to lose rest assured . you said yourself most things are good as long as in moderation.my bankroll may be greater or less than some people's bankroll but at the end of the day it is money i can afford to lose and still live a nice life and have this hobby intact. cheers BD and great post.Comment
