For those of you that used to play bball, do you remember what happened when you rolled your ankle on a Saturday? You can tape it up right after it happens and finish the game before it starts to get stiff, but then the worst swelling is always 2 days later, not to mention the pain and limited range of motion due how tight they'll have to tape it tonight.

I just find it odd that NO ONE is talking about this. Was it the 2004 Final Four when Ga Tech's BJ Elder (leading scorer) sprained his ankle in a game on Friday in a similar fashion, then only played like 5 minutes on Sunday?

I'd understand all the love for the Sooners if Griffin were 100%, and maybe 90% is enough tonight, but it would still give me pause before I jumped on Oklahoma with the rest of the world.

Depends on the severity. You can always tape it and keep playing in the game where it happens, but if it was even a mild sprain, it might be the size of a softball two days later.

Look, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but everyone always tries to identify "trap" games and figure out what Vegas might know that the average player doesn't. Isn't it just a little odd that literally no one is talking about what happened to him Saturday? He may be fine and they may win by double digits. But if he scores 8 points and grabs 8 boards tonight, and they lose by 4, don't be surprised. I'm sure he'll play, but your ankles are everything in basketball. If he's half a step slow or can't leap at full strength, they're in trouble.

I agree. Watch Griffin closely tonight. This could be a factor.

do you really think they are gonna jeopardize losing him for the rest of the year by doing this?

bunch of turnovers, but he had a monster game.

I guess the ankle injury wasn't serious.
