#3Excellent drive for a TD. Tebow is always exciting to see. It's like he'll be absolutely terrible and your saying, "throw the ball" and he takes a huge sack, then he'll come back and make a big play that makes you go wow.Comment -

But that read option with Tebow is fukking nasty. Eagle don't know what to do with it. Pat's gaining chunks of yards every play. Tebow just made a nice throw right now.

#6Barkley will be starting by the end of the season. Nick Foles doesn't have any upside (in my opinion) and Vick will get injured at some point.Comment -

#22The whole time watching Tebow I just kept thinking that this is exactly how you use him. All this read option, 3 back set triple option, naked boot, etc is pretty deadly. Is Tebow extremely limited? Of course, I would guess he threw more should-have-been picks than dimes, but this is what the Jets should have been doing last year with him. penetrating Sparano.
As for Barkley, lack of arm strength, what? Frozen ropes all over the field, multiple reads and throwing with authority into tight windows. Yes against 2s and 3s, but he showed his biggest limitation is a bit overplayed with last nights game.
Also of note, did you see how much read-opinion Barley was "running". Makes me think it's going to feature heavily in this Philly offense if Barkleys out there doing it.Comment -

#26Tim Tebow holds onto the ball forever. Some guys do because they are very cautious due to their human nature or due to the coach telling them to be overtly cautious. Tim Tebow is just mentally slow. The ran a primative offense at Florida and that's what he can handle. They said in Denver the coaches would tell him what they want to run for the next 2 or 3 plays and he'd forget and have to run to the sideline and ask for timeouts. They said that it was frustrating with his lack of mental capacity.
With that said the coach that originally drafted him has him. If Tebow is ever going to do anything it is going to be with the Pats. I don't think Tebow is there to be Tom Brady's backup if he gets hurt, if Brady is hurt Mallet is the starter.
I think Tebow is going to be there to run specific packages. Could you imagine if to start off the 3rd quarter Tebow is in the game and not Brady? He runs a few sets, moves the chains, makes the defense tired and then Brady comes into the game and attacks.Comment -

#28Why would you ever take Tom Brady off the field and replace him with Tim Tebow? New England converted on 3rd Down 48.7% of the time. That's best in the league by 3.6%. You could maybe do some weird shit with putting both of them in the back-field, but that just sounds like more trouble than it's worth. He's looked okay in his own weird way this pre-season and he's definitely made Blount look good, but I don't see any reason for Tebow to take up a roster spot on this team.Originally posted by C-GoldI think Tebow is going to be there to run specific packages. You don't see fat guys running marathons.
You don't see soccer nationally televised in the US.
We shouldn't suffer some stroke with the mentality of a five year old attempting to run an NFL offense. They couldn't make him a quarterback at FREAKING Quarterback U, he's never gonna be able to do it in the NFL.Comment -

#35I'm convinced he makes the roster at this point. His value to the pats above everything else would be in practice, allowing the defense to prepare for and practice defending the read option. They have EJ Manuel, Cam, Tannehill, possibly Geno Smith on the schedule. That's potentially 7 games right there.Comment
