My son is an EMT and fireman. He turned me onto this and said it is relatively new. It works well for my county. When he is over here, it is more fun because he understands all of the codes and chit. He also can tell where and who because he recognizes the voices esp, dispatch. So he can tell immediately where the calls are being directed. I like to listen in on occasion. Hope some of you find it useful.
