    NBA over/under question
    Heat 1H 94 - Game 193.5

    Thunder 1H 102 - Game 203

Why is the line on Heat game 5.5 points lower than second half in 1H whereas in Thunder game is 1 point higher than second half.

    What factors into these lines?

These are the current lines at Pinnacle. I doubt they moved because the 1H lines were posted only 15 min ago.

back to back games teams usually start off slow and the 4th qtr is traditionally the highest scoring qtr

If I recall, certain teams had a tendency to score mush higher/lower in one half. Utah used to be a very low scoring first half team and high scoring second half team. The second half O/U would be 5 or more than the first half.
The Raptors and the Wizards used to have odd halftime totals too. I think the Wizards first half totals were a lot higher than their second half totals........

Yea, if you look at the halftime lines for piston games, their unbelievably low, even then its hit or miss. And i remember san antonio used to be a low scoring second half team, so their o/u was preety low aswell.
