Have you been on a bad streak pat?
Where do you play ? I just want to find a place with a decent amount of players and a place where I know I am going to get paid.

Not sure how the payouts are at all at DoylesRoom because they are part of the cake poker network. However, I do remember posters saying that players on that platform are ripe for the pickings, sir.

I have been worried about sham sites since the whole ultimate bet fiasco,it would be great if sbr did more monitoring of pokers sites.2+2 is a great forum but nowhere near as impressive as sbr in what you guys have to offer over here with the ratings and all the extras sbr has .
Lots of poker folks out there would journey over if you guys got something up and running, there is very little info out there for monitoring poker sites

Who cares? Bots are built to take advantage of crap players, not to be game theory optimal.

Bodog has bad players and has more loose games, just deposited into a site called RPM poker this weekend and they seem to have some pretty bad players also.

LOL at oddsmaker...
If you are a US player, Poker Stars and Full Tilt are really the only two I would trust right now. I've played on Poker Stars for the last 4 years or so and on Full Tilt for about 2 years and I have never had any problems getting paid from either site. If you are worried about speed of payment, Poker Stars is probably a little faster with payouts.
Bodog used to be ok, but the quality of their games and payoff consistency seems to have dropped off huge once their sports book started having major financial problems. Ultimatebet and Absolute used to be also be viable options, but they both had major cheating scandals over the past two years and I personally won't ever deposit a dime on either of them again.
A great site for monitoring the volume of cash players on all sites is pokerscout.com

I have never had a problem at BODOG.
Good play, lots of action.
Establish financial transactions using ** and it all goes smooth as silk.

depending on size of games you looking for a heard that truepoker has some pretty soft games but is on a small independent network so not much selection beyond the low stakes... I haven't tried it out myself but for someone playing smaller stakes not multi-tabling it might be a good out...

Hello All,
Thought I would do my 1st post. I have a background in computer software and systems so online poker rooms and tables are fascinating. I have looked some 70 sites both USA approved and none. There are only about 10 or so distinct software packages and many of the rooms have the same games/tournaments that they share in common with just minor variations. For instance Cake is a Family Poker of rooms I like very much. This family includes Cake, Doyle’s Room, Players Poker and 10 or 12 others. I happen to like Players and Cake the best for Tournaments out of this group.. This brings me to your post and discussion. Of all the sites I like Bodog Poker the best. Easy to navigate, intuitive to use with good cash games and tournament for all levels. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Not sure how the payouts are at all at DoylesRoom because they are part of the cake poker network. However, I do remember posters saying that players on that platform are ripe for the pickings, sir.
the greek now uses the cake network as well, will this mean payouts will lag with them as well, bbd if u could answer about recent payouts since they joined with cake it would be much appreciated!

That's not how it works. If your account is with Cake, nothing has changed outside of the fact that there are more players. The Greek doesn't suddenly handle payment processing for Cake. They only handle payment processing for Greek accounts playing on the Cake network. It is no different than Sportsbook.com or other books who use their software.

Good U.S. Poker Sites
If you are looking for less mainstream sites I definitely would consider, Doyle's, Player Only and Carbon/PDC Poker rooms. Full Tilt and Bodog and Poker Stars are hard to beat for cash games. All of these are stable sites that have third party monitoring/certification of their games.
In any case the best sign-up deals include rakeback, deposit matching and exclusive freeroll tournaments for frequent players. These tournaments are typical run 4 to 6 times per month and have total purses from $1,000 to $5,000 all included.
Shoot me a an e-mail and I can share some V.I.P packages with you all.

I play on the cake network via thegreek.com skin. I do this so I can use the express money transfer cashout option. I transfer the poker funds to the sportsbook...pay the juice and should have my money very quickly

always check the traffic and how many players might be in games you like.
for example i like youwager.com for sports but during the day their poker site gets like 10 people playing $1/2 no limit and that's it.
if you want a different game forget about it.
my favorite for poker is bodog at night. lot of weak players.

bodog is the way to go, just be sure you seperate sportsbook and poker, not make a decision because of the temper you had in one of them.
