Couple of other thoughts and questions about tonights games
Is tonight the night RA Dickey returns to 2012 form up there in Seattle.
He faces a pretty weak ass lineup, even though Ibanez likes to hit knucklers and Seagar is having a sneaky solid season.

I also have a funny feeling Kluber frustrates the Tiger big boy bats, but can't bet the Tribe at home at even money with Dirty Sanchez, but still.....

And for the life of me, the guy who have a shitload of respect for, some of you don't, but I respect Benjy Lee Eckstein, and he's in love with Guthrie and the KC Royals tonight for some reason, and I can not figure out why?

Kluber's frustrated Detroit before. It wouldn't be the first time.

        Guthrie owns the Twinks.

to hit a knuckler out of a park, you need some good pop at large fields like citi and safeco. thats the reason he's been getting lit up at the rogers centre. dickey is going to have a good outing today but iwakuma will be better. tight ballgame here

Iwakuma not the same pitcher as he was at start of year. Missing down and in too much and over correcting. He has lost 1.5 mph velocity and the Jays as a team hit the split finger quite well.
Seattle has been loading 7-8 left handed batters for the last several weeks. Same tonight. Dickey has some unfavourable matchups tonight.

Warm dry weather tonight in Seattle. Unusual.

Guthrie has looked good in his last couple of starts. The problem is that he looked bad in the other ones. Can't pull the trigger on the Royals, no matter how bad Correia has looked lately. In the same breath, I can't pull the trigger on the over, just in case Guthrie does well again.

                              ECKS & BACON….feel the sizzle!!!

Welcome to "Ecks & Bacon" for July 30, 2013...
Ecks & Bacon is going fishing this week. Well not really. We're gonna roll up the coast of Northern California, specifically the Big Sur, and take a little break before the madness of football starts. As for the golf action, Dustin Johnson was tied for the lead on Sunday at the Canadian Open, but blew up on the 17th hole with a triple bogey. Yuck. That left all my golfers (Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Graham DeLaet and David Hearn) out of the money. The group cost me $70 bucks, and after pressing the proper buttons, the calculator says that +$1755 is the current figure.
And don't worry, we ARE keeping track of our "leans," with the record sitting at 28 leans, 20 wins, and tonight, we're standing tall, no leans.
