When they pulled that trade for Gasol it set the wheels in motion. Mavericks panicked and traded for an old and worn down Jason Kidd. Same with the Suns trading for Shaq. You can thank the Lakers for the collapse of both these teams, who were in the Western Conf. Finals just 3 years ago. The Spurs even pulled a trade grabbing Kurt Thomas, but at least it didnt fvck up their big 3. Lakers laughing all the way to the bank now.

Yes, now the smart thing would be to start over for both of these teams. The Mavs will never trade Dirk, but everyone else should be on the market and the Suns I hear they may be willing to even part with Amare.Comment -

Teams should just do a swap and see what happens. Send Dirk to Phoenix and Amare to Dallas. Nash would get re energized playing with his old friend and try and give it one last go for a ring. Then blow it up. The Mavs would have a nice young core going with Josh Howard and Amare to build around.Comment
