MLS all star game tonight whats the play?

Leaning under 3.5 with the Italians always playing good defense. a 1-1 or 2-1 score sounds reasonable. Any other opinions here?

I don't really follow Serie A much but do recall their games having totals of 3 or 3.5 more often than other teams outside of the obvious mismatches. I know that doesn't exactly mean much now but figure it could be somewhat of an indication of their style and the fact this is a friendly where MLS always wants to show they belong makes me lean toward over.

yep, for two-thirds of last season Roma was a go-to team for Over 3 goals, as they had Zdenek Zeman as Coach who is all about attack and doesn't believe in passing the ball backwards or sideways! At the end of the season Roma were top of the "goals per game" average table with 3.34 goals per game they were involved in, but a big part of this was due to the 7-8 month spell that Zeman was in charge. Whilst he was there until early February there were 8 out of 27 games that had less than 3 goals (29.62%), then after he left on 1st February there were less than 3 goals in 10 out of 18 remaining games (55.55%). So their approach clearly changed to a more conservative one after he left. Now they have another new manager in Rudi Garcia.

The fact it's a MLS All-Star game just screams that it's going to be open and that there should be goals as there is no pressure and the All-Star coach isnt going told to go out and there and park the bus and play for a 0-0 in front of a big audience! The only concern (aside from the obvious factor like poor finishing) would be that the MLS players dont play at a fast pace because they are in middle of a season and tired and wanting to conserve their energy for MLS games, combined with possibility of Roma playing without much energy because they are just starting their pre-season camp. Again though, with it being a showcase exhibition game they should in theory play with some zest and not just stroll around for 90 minutes passing the ball along the back line!

This. It's an all-star game. It's going to be wide open with a lot of attacking. I like the MLS All-Stars ML. Should be a tight game. Something like 3-2 sounds about right to me.

I used to idolize Totti back in the day. I was a Roma fan in the early 2000s and used to love watching them play. They of course had a stacked lineup back then with guys like Cafu, Samuel, Batistuta,Montella, Emerson and of course Totti that first come to mind.

Sporting KC's new stadium is a great place to watch a game...can only fit around 19,000 with the standing room dudes, but any seat is close enough to actually see something. Not sure how much Roma has been training, but the wife also got me a pair for Saturday's game against the Red Bull's....I'm livin large this week

I ended up taking the under and it looked like after the 3rd minute I'd regret it but hopefully it stays relatively tight in the second half.

I think us under takers (ha) should be safe if we can get out of this first half with only 1 goal. If they sneak one more before HT it becomes much much less of a possibility of covering in my mind.
