Explain justbet's bonus terms to me, please
    Hi there,

    justbet have the following term:

Free play bonuses, are bonuses whether they win or lose. If a free play loses, the amount put at risk is the bonus amount. If a free play wins, the higher amount between risk and win is the bonus amount.

What exactly does that mean? Does it mean that the rollover is calculated after I place my freeplay bet? E.g. I would get a 25% freeplay on a $400 deposit, i.e. $100. Normally, the wagering would be calculated as X*($400+$100), or X*$100. In this case it appears that after I place the freeplay bet it would be calculated as either X*(Deposit+(HIGHER(Win, Risk))) (if bet wins) or X*(Deposit+Risk) (if bet loses).

    Am I mistaken here?

    Thanks,
    otr

Seems to be a trend in the industry. Based on what you have copied, yes, they wait until after you have used your freeplays to calculate your rollover.

Your interpretation looks correct to me.

EDIT - well there is a slight error in your post which I think is just a typo. Normally, the wagering would be calculated as X*($400+$100), or X*$100. I think you mean for that last bit to be X*400.

Means if you bet $100 free play on -200 fav and win only $50 are used to calculate your rollover requirements. If you bet $100 on a +150 dog then only $100 are used for rollover purposes.

Nope, that's another part of the T&C. What you mean is the calculation towards the WR, what I mean is the actual determination of the WR, i.e. how much it is.

I'm pretty sure you have the right idea there except you should also be adding the deposit amount to the higher of win/risk on the freeplay.

Yeah, crappy trend in the industry for sure. First it was BetOnline, then BetOT. I didn't know JustBet was doing it but it looks that way.

And then some books like Bookmaker don't allow freeplays to be used on moneylines which is a restriction in a similar spirit.
