Actually, Bread is heading back home...he said the tournament was boring. So anyway, he is en route and my plans for a Bread-free weekend are foiled. Curses!

As for betting on Jai-alai, there are 8 teams (which I think they are now paring down to 6 teams) per game. It is similar to dog/horse racing in that you can place a lot of the same bets but instead of puppies and horsies, you are typically betting on Spanish dudes. It's a pretty exciting sport to watch and bet on. Too bad it is a dying sport in the country.

I prefer watching doubles. Typically, the backcourt is a tall, dashing fella...but my favorite is this short, chubby Spanish guy who I like to call "Cheeseburger". He is a fantastic player which is quite odd considering how tiny he is. In fact, here is a picture from a blog I wrote about our tournament trip last February:

Actually, I have been to Dania Jai alai personally and I wasn't that bad at it. I usually picked the team with a short little pocco, and a taller sanchez.

BTW if you are in the Dania, Fl. area and need an apartment, PM me, I have a apartment building with a couple of vacancies about 1/4 mile from hollywood beach. Rent goes for $1250-$1500 a month.
