Current FIFA rank is 22. The team did manage to advance to the round of 16 in 2010 WC. The team in 2014 should be stronger with a good mix of youngsters and vets. With Jurgen as coach the US will have a different expectation and passion. With the right draw anything is possible for 2014. Just need to sure up the defensive end. Offensively I think the US can hang with just about anyone.

Beasley, Donovan, Besler will start for the World Cup team.....Eddie Johnson will be first or 2nd off the bench, maybe a starter some games on the wing

And US #1 team has a chance against anyone in the world......They would not be favored against probably 15 teams.....but they could play with anyone

Eddie Johnson is a terrible finisher.
I don't think I have ever watched a striker miss more amazing opportunities than Johnson. Hopefully he will learn how to finish in the next year.

Ask any Seattle Sounder fan if they would rather have Johnson or Montero.....
