It's not just about the money but the challenge and fun of it. This contest is one of the funnest and most exciting and challenging things I've ever done.

I can state categorically that you are wrong. I am a pro and I participated in one of these. I would love to have a bunch of freeplays added to my accounts. Why wouldn't I?
I don't know where this notion that pro gamblers are above money is coming from. It's actually closer to the opposite. It's all about money.

why not?
most probably have accounts at all 5, and rollover is almost meaningless in this case.

If you think that pros have time to wait for CrazyLou to post his lines at an obscure forum so they can win $100 in freeplays with a 10X rollover after waiting 2 months for all the rounds to complete then you probably believe we didn't land on the moon, there are WMD's in Iraq and that AIDS was God's punishment to homosexuals.

no one's waiting around for anything. i've played in these contests for years. they are stale lines remember. they are best used right before game time. takes 30 seconds a day.

But, it's fun and thrilling though.
Pro gamblers are people too. My Dad's a pro gambler, the guy makes $5 bets and talks about them for hours. He plays cards with his family for a penny a point or poker with a 25 cent limit and you'd think his life was riding on the result. Then that same day he's playing for thousands at the poker table, it's all the same to him, a win's a win.
He doesn't distinguish between a game for a dollar and a game for $5,000, he's all out all the time. If I told him about this contest I think he'd join but I never talk to him.

Definately not a pro, just a recreational bettor. Would be living on the street if I relied on my gambling to make a living. These contest are more about having fun, but the extra cash in the account makes it nice as well.

My Dad loves to have fun. He'll talk to my uncle about some upcoming game and say, "Do you want to bet, I'll bet you $5." He'll put more energy into that bet than when he's risking thousands at the poker table that same night.
Why do people think that pro gamblers aren't human? There is such a thing as having fun.
If you're a border-line pro then why did you enter the contest pavy?

everyone here is a loser. nobody here makes $100,000 a year so stop bullshiting. pavy is one of the biggest storytellers in sbr history next to deuce. if you made that much you wouldn't be here. anyone laying -20000 or -3500 or whatever on a favorite is a total square. anyone living in a mud hut deep in a south american jungle is barrelled in severely. so many hamburgers aka wannabe professionals in this thread. unreal

I'm a pro and I played in one of these tourneys. That's a fact. You can decide for yourself how that fits in with WMD's and AIDS.
Weird discussion. I'm trying to convince people that professional gamblers don't look down on money - and I am not being entirely successful. What's up with that?
I must be battling against some kind of Players Talk mythology created by the resident poser. But I swear, the truth is very simple. Professional gamblers don't mind some free money.

Obvious answer: to someone with nothing it is. I don't know Pavy's situation for a fact but Crisp's is pretty clear.

Never liked drinking Robyn. If you don't drink and smoke you save about $10,000 a year and add 10 years to your life.
