    Marlins getting better?
Alvarez is dealing tonight and has been so far since his callup.
Marlins gonna limit his pitches just like Fernandez.
Miami has a couple young arms with potential.
I'm sure Fernandez will win ROY this year and Cy Young next year, and the Marlins will trade him after.

They still lack offense. If they can start hitting a little this team could win some games though.

Haven't got a good look at this Alvarez kid but have heard a couple things from my boys in Miami about him, they love him ...Definitely going to make it a point to watch his next start.

I'm pretty sure Fernandez is not going to win the Cy Young next year over Harvey or Kershaw.

But he is good. Very good.

I saw a crazy stat about Harvey. His WHIP is now less than .90. That's nuts. He has gone less than 7 innings, 2 times.

And Kershaw is on another planet.

WHIP of .88, and a BAA of .184.

Why would they trade a Cy young that would be earning less than half a million. They might be cheap but they aren't dumb.

        lets make sense here.

Yes, they have been playing much better since mid June and Joe Public probably getting hammered by them

                  I missed that prediction.

Fernandez is still 5 years away from being eligible for free agency.

So, yeah, he won't be getting traded anywhere for a long f'in time.

which also means my prediction of league minimum salary was wrong. he'll be arb eligible before 2015 season, and if Marlins don't sign him to an extension before hand (which I think they will...back me up here Daft) then he'd get something like 7-8 million?

You guys forget just recently they couldnt score a single run in the entire series with brewers. It was a bad spot for pirates plain and simple. Oh and the rockies bats went cold. Fading the fish rest of way is +EV ecxept for when fernandez pitches

I honestly believe that the Marlins could make quite a bit of noise next year.

That young rotation looks very promising.

                                  OF looks very promising

SS and 2nd look very promising. 1st should be solid.

get a bullpen, a catcher, and 3b and you got a team that will surprise.

So many of these young pitchers look good at first then the book comes out on them and their workload increases and they struggle. Fernandez looks good but he's a bit of a long shot for the Cy next year.

                                                    Two things.

Fernandez is going to get shut down around the 150 IP mark--he may get 160, but I doubt it., and Puig and the Dodgers will be in the playoffs.

The ROY is going to Puig.

It was a bad spot for pirates plain and simple. Oh and the rockies bats went cold. Fading the fish rest of way is +EV ecxept for when fernandez pitches
