A spot for a prospect to move up, and 7.7 million.
Also some random class A prospect. No idea.
First part being the most important.
If nothing more, I feel this absolutely solidifies Junior Lake in the lineup for a while. We need young guys getting MLB spotlight with zero pressure.
You have to understand a cubs fan logic here. The "timeline" to make this work is double or triple anywhere else. We are all hoping we will be the first member of our respective famalies to witness the feat.
It would take another 5 years of below .500 ball and no upward mobility in the lower ranks, to really make me start bitching.
We're playing for 1. And are well aware, it wont be for a while, and we can wait.

Cubs still ate waaaay too much of his contract. Lazy fukk doesn't even back up his fellow outfielders.

I will be surprised if nobody picks up Nate Schierholtz (spelling?) from the Scrubbies as well. Lefty tearing the cover off the ball.

If Yankees go after a Soriano it would be Rafael to bolster their bullpen.

Considering they had him the last 2 seasons and let him go, don't see that happening. And Alfonso is 0 for 1 tonight.

I just saw Brent Lillibridge playing 3B for the Yankees? Whaaaa? He's godawful. He couldn't even stick as a utility with the Cubs.

Yankees keep getting batters when the problem is they can't keep anyone from scoring. What's the purpose of having Rivera when they can't give him a lead to protect?

I think they've allowed the 3rd lowest runs in the AL
they have allowed 399
Oakland is the lowest with 392
they've also scored the 4th lowest....
so I think BATS are what they need

Yanks only team I can think if in a long time (mid 80's cards) that can start 3 players in the OF that all have stolen at least 40 bags in the past. Can anyone think of others? I thought maybe Tim Raines and expos might have too?
