    yeah there for awhile the Giants had a good pitcher going every night but they would only score 0-3 runs

        Hahaha. As Bill Simmons once put it "Baseball is an individual sport masquerading as a team sport", and baseball is much less team based than say football or basketball, although the collection of talent known as a "team" does make a big difference in winning. The core of baseball is a 1v1 matchup between pitcher and batter. Whereas basketball is always 5v5 and football is always 11v11. Team independent stats matter more than team dependent stats such as Wins, which is why evaluating pitchers by sabermetrics such as xFIP or the more traditional ERA are important. Of course, wins will factor into betting angles such as Scherzer being 13-0 to start the year and thus the line will change based on that but measuring a pitcher alone by wins is dumb.

          I never said that if you do that ....well your Brock laying juice until you die. I like to bet pitchers with value therefore knowing the pitcher is more important than knowing the team.
