If you want Bama I would wait until the week of the game. If A&M blows out Rice and Sam Houston State like they should in the 1st two weeks everyone will be on the Johnny bandwagon and the hype train will gain steam. I bet the line would shift a few points in A&M's direction and you can probably get Bama at a better line. Especially if Bama isn't completely dominant against Virginia Tech.Comment -

If A&M's schedule was harder the pressure would be greater, but A&M has 9 guaranteed wins this year and Johnny only needs to show up in 3 games this year. As long as they go 2-1 in those 3 games this year the A&M fans will be off his back. If they lose 2 of those 3, A&M fans will turn on him.Comment -

I am interested to see how they operate without Ryan Swope, Luke Joeckel and some other guys they lost to graduation. Although Jake Matthews is back I am not sure if the line will be better than last year. Johnny will have to be better on his feet IMO this year because he won't have the protection he had last year as well as a receiver who is fearless over the middle like Ryan Swope to bail him out. I am also interested to see how SEC defensive coordinators make adjustments on their offense as well with months to plan as well as having more film to study. Rice/Sam Houston have terrible defenses so we really won't know how A&M's offense will be until they play BamaComment -

I am leaning that way too. A&M is not unbeatable at home, both their losses last year were at home. Saban made adjustments in their game last year vs. A&M and shut them down for the last 3+ quarters of the game. Once the Alabama offense settled down they moved the ball. Bama's offense last year pressed too hard in the beginning of the game and tried to play keep up with A&M instead of sticking to their game plan. Alabama beat themselves and I don't see that happening this year. With months to plan, I think Saban will roll out a solid defensive game plan and win pretty easily. Plus Alabama won't be coming off an emotional win vs. LSU the week before, 2 weeks for Saban to get ready. One of the biggest home games at Kyle Field in recent memory and the pressure will be too great for A&M.Comment -

I actually lean A & M and the points.....I think Bama is a great team obviously, and they will be in the mix for the title....Just give me a Touchdown head start with the home team that has the same expectations in an insane atmosphere
Bama is Bama but they are not immune to hostile road environments in the SEC.....
I don't take the revenge factor that seriously.....TA&M will be just as fired up to simply prove that it wasn't a fluke in front of their home crowd
I expect Bama to win, but I also expect a pretty close game.....
Things might change come game time but it's just by initial read on it right now......

TJ Yeldon will be the starting RB - he rushed for over 1,000 yards last season and had 11 TD's. He is just as good if not better than Lacey. They also have several 4-5* guys behind them. RB won't be a problem with them, esp with the OL they have. They also have all their starting WR's back. If anything will be a weakness this year for Bama it will be their D.Comment -

A&M is a very easy team to figure out. They have a QB who can't wait to get out of there and head for the pros. They lose half of their starters on defense. A&M loses too much talent to be considered a NC threat. Losses to Alabama and at LSU are certainly in the cards, and a loss to Ole Miss on the road would not be a shock. I agree. Wait until the week of the game and then load up on 'Bama when the line drops.Comment -

That's what they tried to do in the 2nd half last year. He blew right by everyone. Love it when defenses play spy the QB... he'll fake like he's coming across the line of scrimmage force the LB to come up.. and BOOM!!!! Another 80 yard TD Pass over LB's head. Going to be a great year for A&M as long as he doesn't get hurt.Comment
