can we use this thread to post every couple of days on who's successfully registered for Beat the Prick?...not that the process is that hard or anything, but that way there's no confusion come season time...thoughts?...thanks...

Trust me ... if you followed the signup process on BeatThePrick.com and made it through the first 2 steps (entering/registering an SBR Forum name and entering/registering for a BetCRIS account number) then we have a record of your signup ... and a backup of that record.

One source of confusion for me about the whole process is that there was no "confirmation" message saying that I was indeed signed up for the contest. I was redirected to some other page or something, if I remember correctly. Others may have become concerned for the same reason. I assumed I was signed up correctly, and figured SBR would get it right in the end, so I wasn't too worried. But you might want to fix that glitch, so there won't be as much confusion for future signups under this system.

Slacker, did you not see the "Registration Successful" screen (see attached) upon completing Steps 1 and 2? Perhaps you registered just before that screen was added to BeatThePrick.com.

You're in ... I checked. And no, you didn't signup twice. As I stated, you most likely registered prior to the implementation of the confirmation screen.

Again, to everyone ... if you managed to enter your forum name in step one and your CRIS account number in step two, then you are registered. That's all there is to it. The signup process at BeatThePrick.com really is that simple. And, as stated previously, I'll post a list of current contestants as soon as possible.

Yea those beat the prick words at the top of the page made it so damn confusing. The new guy is in and the prick is in trouble.

One thing we do not do and dont believe in is sending members emails. We might rethink that as time goes on. This contest would benefit if we could send an email confirm and have some level of communications and send confirms by email.
