yep, neither of them really got out of second gear...but Rory didnt because he didnt have to, while Ellenberger didnt because Rory didnt allow Jake to...that was the difference. Seemed everything I thought about Ellenberger was correct afterall, that he's a very average striker who just relies on his power. He had no idea how to deal with that jab, but then I guess 90% of fighters in the UFC wouldnt and also don't know how to use the jab themselves! That's why Zahabi is the best coach in the game IMO, he is making game-plans built around using the jab, we've seen it now with Makdessi (against Stout), GSP (against Kos) and Rory last night. Doesnt lead to the most exciting of fights but it's a gambler's dream!

^Truth, I don't understand why Burger didnt try to wrastle more though, that was what I was banking on, to steal rounds or get him defending the takedown and maybe hit him with something nasty. Rory was the right side, but I felt like the odds warranted a Burger play. He was succesful with a takedown late in the fight, he should have kept going, but he fought scared.

He did take Ellenberger's back right at the end of that third round though after scrambling with the omoplata (think it was omoplata, I've only watched it once and was very hungover and almost asleep!).
