I have always wanted to visit Canada but the problem is I know nothing about anywhere there. Thinking of taking a vacation with my girlfriend.. Where is a nice place to visit and why?
Thanks in advance!

Depends what you are looking for. Your question is sort of like saying, "I'm thinking of visiting the United States but I'm not sure where". It's a big country. Can you narrow it down a bit? If you are looking for something unique within North America (i.e., different from anything in the U.S.), I'd suggest going to Quebec City and Montreal.

Approx 7 years ago I live in Montreal and did not like it. The French did not like Americans and the food was lousy. I lasted their 8 months and came back to Newark. also too many people smoke their and the woman were stuck up and pale looking fuks.
Don't go

Hey just about anywhere in canada is great serious. I'm from the toronto area and there's every thing, great hotels award winning restaurants , theaters, The people are first class and friendly, easy to get around. Hey if you can get tickets Imagine yourself at the air canada center with 20000 of the blue and white for a leaf game. then after go down to gretzky;s for a brew.

Quebec City is stunning all year long. I'm always surprised every time I go back.

The French, like the rest of the world, don't like those stereotypical loudmouth, obnoxious Americans. Tone it down a bit and you'll fit right in.

I like everything about Montreal except their hockey team.
The only thing I hate about Quebec are separatists and language police.
Other than that Quebec is tres bien. Ontario has alot to offer as well and may be a bit more comfortable for you as someone that doesn't speak French.
There are alot of places to visit though, if you're on the west coast you should consider Vancouver or Calgary.

If you're looking to hit the town for some nightlife, Hogtown (Toronto) has the most to offer.
Stay away from Quebec. They don't take kindly to anglophones not giving an effort to speak if not francais, at least franglaise.
I'm in the nation's capital (Ottawa). Boring, safe, clean, cold winters, fat-cat city. Not a glowing endorsement. It is what it is...
