#2Of course it's too low...
They have top 5 center and QB...
You think because the lost a fast WR they are going to struggle
Still as good if not better than the Ravens...Comment -

#7they got question marks at the skill positions. but their rookie RB could turn out to be a stud like Martin or Morris last year.
Defense might be a bit over-rated and old. LB corps the weakest in years and Troy might actually be getting to the point of being a liabilityComment -

#9Big Ben is not a top four quarterback.
He might have been, but not anymore.

#10The Steelers in exactly the middle of the pack seems correct. Their pass defense will struggle again, Aaron Smith & Polamalu can't stay healthy. They'll finish 9-7 or so... which might win the AFC NorthComment -

#12Agreed JJ, Ben is average these days, and their defense isn't what it use to be. 14-18 range is right on parComment -

Aaron Smith retired before the 2012 season though. guy was the most under-rated football player of my lifetime though.
the other big loss and under-rated player that has retired is Casey Hampton at Nose tackle.
between Hampton and Smith back in the 2005-2010 days that Steelers D Line was unreal and let the other players get the glory on defenseComment -

#15big ben's numbers were quite similar to Brady last year. except for passes attempted, completed, and yards.
but 26 Td's and only 8 INTs was not a bad year at all. I'd say Ben is still a 6-8 QB if he is healthy.
You also have to take into account two very big things that don't always show up in stats with Rapelisthberger
1) his elusiveness and huge body that is hard to bring down, which makes him a top playmaker in keeping plays alive and improvising.
2) His top tier ability to put long drives together late in the 4th quarter when they are needed to win or tie a game.Comment -

#16Mike Tomlin is an overrated coach. If they miss the playoffs again and they likely will he should be gone.Comment -

#17you can debate the "should be" part of that statement
but the rooney's will stick with him barring a big personal issue or 4-5 really bad years in a row.
Rooney's only like to hire a coach every few decades.
seeing as how Tomlin has never had a sub .500 record and been to two super bowls, I think the Rooney's are very satisfied.
every team is gonna have downward trends, its the nature of the NFL you can't win every year and its time for the Steelers to rebuild a bit and look towards the futureComment -

#29Ben is a great qb but hasnt played a full season in years.
Has their O Line improved at all? And I havent heard much about Heath Miller
Steelers will win 8-9 games this year but they need to get back to running the ball like they used to
And forget about Troy. He might as well retire to head and shouldersComment -

#30I see a favorable schedule, 3-1 going into the BYE. Steelers -1.5 @ Jets post-BYE is a bargain. based on how the Steelers schedule sets-up I see 11 to 12 wins.Comment -
