I always thought HC was all about human civilization, wars, etc.... About real people and history.

Not about how a fictional character became Darth Vader and what makes him so evil.

Ok, fair enough. Think there were some bits that came off as a bit infomercialistic (if that is a real word). But films from one era to the next can make culturally historical impacts on a civilization. Look at the propaganda that Hollywood put out during WWII to serve as 'morale boosters' for the folks back home, and then compare them to the different mood Hollywood was in during the 1960s when releasing several anti-establishment flicks.

Yeah sometimes there is a heavy sci-fi component to their shows that is quite removed from the theme of history. Also, how is profiling a recently developed and still functioning gang history?

I would understand if they did a show on the impact of Star Wars on our culture but geezus they've got real life psychiatrists delving into Darth Vaders mind to see what makes him tick and why he's so evil.

Seems like this is more appropriate for the E! channel.
