• Andreev over Gulbis +160

Andreev has better ranking, better style of play but Gulbis is in better form. Andreev had trouble with a qualifier last time out losing the first 2 sets before coming back - though this happens a lot in Slams due to people underestimating their opponent.. This is a toss-up and there's no way I'm going with the mentally fragile Gulbis.. when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

• Hanescu over Sela +110

Hanescu has better form than Sela, has beaten tougher opponents this year. Sela gets the slight edge because he's a better hard courter and beat Schuettler in the last round, but I think Hansecu takes it here.

Gotta disagree on the first choice. Andreev hasn't just been bad here in Melbourne, he's been bad to start the year. Gulbis has beaten Djokovic already and took a set from Del Potro last week. Price wise, this is a no touch of a match in my opinion as Gulbis at around -195 isn't a sure thing, but should win.
