Anyone still waiting on W2 Forms
I worked for atleast 2 different places last year and havent gotten any W2 forms. I was wondering if I was the only one that havent gotten these documents. I do understand that employers supposedly must have documents postmarked Jan 31, but why would they wait so late. No manager likes for their employees to come in at 6 oclock on the dot then start work at maybe 6:05 they will eventually address that because your stealing 5 minutes.

From what I understand about 4 posters have jobs. Most here probably don't know what a W2 is.

My ex-company (Borders) does them through a digital company if you want so I got mine about 3 days ago, e-filed that same night and I should have my return in about a week.

A week! That's awesome. Do have it direct deposit to your account?

Don't they charge like $20 to have your refund direct deposit? I still mail mine, it takes longer to get my check but for some reason I don't like the IRS having my bank account info. Probably nothing to worry about, but just my preference.

Maybe when it comes to giving w2's Borders is all-pro but otherwise they are dropping off the face of the planet, they will not be around more than another 12-18 months. I say that not out of resentment but as fact, they have been doing the same moves Circuit City did (expand on smaller brand, fire hire paid employees, reduce stock).

If you go through the IRS's efile site I believe its free or very very cheap for direct deposit.

I use taxACT and for $15.95 they keep all my data saved from each year and I get my taxes done both 1040 and 1099 in about 20 minutes and filed, they also keep digital backlogs of all your paperwork so you can reference.
