Going to crunch some numbers, look at some NCAA (F) previews, but I'm not wagering on anything until Friday.Comment -

#11why is soccer and other sports so frowned upon here? i do not get it. i thought the purpose of betting is just to stay in the game (when you realize you can not make this your job) and having some fun. granted, soccer is slow paced but watch enough games and you get used to it. also the fact you have money on it and that makes it fun.
i can name only a few here that bet on soccer and when they talk about it on PT, none answers. people just getting pounded in baseball meanwhile there is about 1000 soccer games going on. due to the volume it is also very easy to spot value in soccer.
i never bought the whole "ego" side of betting. maybe that is true with some of the people here, though. i just know when i lose a bet i do not take it personal as if i do not know sports. when i bet on soccer i do not think i'm making a "sissy" bet.Comment -

#14check the soccer forum. darknite is good. or heck, play a random +700 underdog or a draw. they can actually win. that's another thing, soccer in my opinion (if the game is not fixed and minus the really big leagues and teams) really has no favorites. sure, the books will throw up a line on what they think is a favorite but it is very different from say the nba and nfl.
sorry for grammar and good luck...Comment -

and also for us americans these soccer games are never on tv and its impossible for us to get any type of info on these teams...
we would be betting blindly.
I have MLB extra innings so i can watch any baseball game being played. I watch it even when i dont bet on it so its really easy for me to study the game.Comment -

Reason why most American's don't embrace soccer is that most American's like high pace and scoring.
i pay attention to the high profile games, like World Cup and Euro championship games, outside of that, I can't keep up with the sub division leagues.Comment -
