I really think it might , Obama seems like a smart person and I think taxing internet betting is a great source of income for some of his plans.

After that speech I am proud to be an american . Something I havent felt in a while

Agreed. Obama is an impressive and inspirational guy. But I have to think internet betting is way, way down the list of priorities. I'm not sure how your taxation idea would work.

Just because Obama is president does not mean there still will not be retarded Republicans that do the bidding of Focus on the Family etc...

There are enough democrats in congress to ram through any legislation they are willing to be wholly partisan about. Not enough democrats will advocate internet gambling, it is just too unpopular with the general public.

Too many palms to be greased for it to ever get worked out. Do y'all really think that states will just stand by and let the feds take all of the tax dollars even if Obama and/or the US Congress put this on their agenda?

The appeal in the IMEGA case most likely will be heard in April. Hopefully something good will come out of it.

Are you on crack? Obama only cares about the polls and the lobbyists. The Messiah will do whatever the polls say. The religious right will make sure that the "polls" show that Amerikans are against online betting. The gambling lobby will lobby heavily against online betting.

Probably not. I don't think legalizing online gaming is on Obama's list of things to do.
