Her descendants were enslaved and sold by their own people in Africa and they were brought over on jewish owned ships. Two important things conveniently left out. North Africa only outlawed the slave trade in 2007, it's still ongoing in parts of the African continent.

But I think the best thing would be is to create the Nation of Islam, a spin off from a religion which has enslaved your people for centuries.
