You will get a deal on everything but the high end TV's. Those will be sold to another distributor or store you won't come away with a high end TV for a deal... all the other crap you will.

From what I read, the liquidators come in and "jack up" the prices and then offer discounts on it to make it look like a good deal. I could be wrong.

Has anyone actually been to a Circuit City since Saturday or are we all speculating? If they cut the movie prices in half i would make a run today.

yeah that's what I gathered from the thread posted a few days ago... so I was wondering if that was true and if so, if/when prices will come down...might stop by one today

i haven't been yet, cause the one that was closet to me closed a while back, i guess the Best Buy and HH Gregg near them put a damper on their business. the other 2 are at the opposite ends of the county from me.

i thought it was weird CC had an add in the Sunday paper, probably was printed before the announcement on Friday.

I know someone that went in there yesterday and got a TV. He basically just made an offer and they took it. the TV was normally about 2K and he got it for 1300. He also got a stand that was 250 other places for like 100. I guess there are some good deals but you have to think there will be nothing left in a couple days.

The sign in front of the store by me says 30% off everything with fine print that says "up to".

The parking lot was full, screw that. They do use an outside company and probably jack it up. I know in the furniture company they bring in truck loads of "shit" to unload it during the closeout because people feel like they are getting a great deal.

I went Saturday and the best deals were 10% of small items like games and CDs. Tvs were more expensive than before. They had better prices on TVs the weeks after Xmas.
I going to keep checking back, maybe once they get desperate to sale stuff the prices will come down.
On the website it says the prices are not negoitable. I didnt try to batter when I went cause there was to many people.
Next time I stop by I will make them an offer on a TV and see what happens.
