A chance to back Hefner and fade Morton at plus money? this is a no brainer. Hefner now the Mets most consistent pitcher and he hasn't allowed more than 2 runs in 7 straight starts. The offense has been finally clicking and if your looking for an even better price the -1.5 @+200 is also worth a small play ass well.

#11I flipped on this game and took Rats -1. I do hate backing Morton though. Hopefully they yank him quick if he gets in trouble.Comment -

#15Take away that brain fart to Pedro in the first, Hefner has been rock solid.
Wright with a blooper as I write this (no pun intended) 2-1 now.

Here's the problem, Pitate bullpen > Mets bullpen.
Come to think about it Bad News Bears bullpen > Mets bullpen

#24Yes he's seriously my cousin. He's hit over .300 at every level and continued in the majors, not sure what reason the Mets have for not playing him. He can play everywhere, literally except catcher. They're platooning him versus lefties which is ok, but he's hit well versus righties also makes no sense to me.Comment -

I have been involved with baseball my whole life, a buudy of mine works in the front office for the Astros, another buddy of mine writes for the Twins, Fangraphs and others, here's the thing, all major league organations have stupid reasons for holding good players back.
Cashman did it with stubbornly saying Hughes is better, and always will be better than Ian Kennedy, just because Cashman has a hard on for fast ball hitters, when it is a known fact in the baseball industry that Phil Hughes is a head case, doesn't listen, and my Astro buddy says Phil Hughes has the worse work ethics in MLB.
Advanced scouts said Ian Kennedy is a "poor man's Greg Maddux' and will have by far the better career.Comment -
