My buddy just called me and said he put 2k on the Eagles today and cant lose. I said how can it not lose its gambling.. He said "Well, my checking account has $10 in and it cant overdraft. My online book does instant E-checks, so if I win I have a backer to give me the 2k at 10% and if it loses I wont be out a penny". I then tell his how stupid it is and then he says "You want to be the backer for 8%?".

I hope they can send him through collections or something, even though I doubt it.

I would think that if he pulled this stunt with the worng offshore book it wouldn't end with the check being returned as an overdraft and him walking away that clean and simple......it seems that the book/processor would either agressively hound him or, if its truly $2,000, the payment processor would push it with his bank and get a check fraud case opened up?

Ahhh yes. True story I have no reason to lie about goofy shit like that. Anyways so I called the dude and he said "I didnt do it my backer said he wont do it". I dont think he ever had a backer.....I think he tried to get me as the backer and couldnt find anyone else.
