BTW i dont know if its allowed but if all 4 were interested maybe have a $300 saver if book allowed it and all 4 didnt want to take the trip i know i would take the $2500 not trip but it would be if only 1 of us 4 won it would suck play all year and not win anything besides the 250 gift package

I can go with the flow on this ... I do believe that the other 3 in the thick of this have collected monthly prizes already and I haven't won a thin dime despite sitting in the lead for overall at the present time ... I don't like giving 4th the same as 2nd so something like 15-5-3-1 would be better.

Having said all this, the top 3 still have 13 or 14 picks left this month so the gap can certainly widen between 1st and 4th and I expect that it will ... If you're going to put together a deal, you better do it quick.

It's conceivable I can finish 2nd overall and never have collected a dime in this contest so I have a lot more to lose than the rest ... But that's the way it goes ... I assess my own personal chances as pretty good to stay on top ... I also think that if the 4 of us agree on something that the powers to be wouldn't have much objection ... VIP would certainly like 4 potential customers than 1.

BBD we would still of course be playing for bragging rights and $1600 1st place with this deal it just makes it nicer knowing that we all cash a little something at the end of the year sicnce its technicaly 1st place only besides the gift packages which i'm sure are nice

kdmfox your deal sounds good to 5-3-1 thats fair also i know they have plays yet to make but doubt it makes much diference in standings this thing is up for grabs for us 4 currently i can't see not 1 of us winning at years end

lets see if manly and stump can agree then we can find out if its ok becuase when you say vip gains 3 new players is not really true as we don't post up any to collect prize we already are players technically with VIP

i don't want to sound difficult, but i am not inclined to make a deal on the prize money. i'm perfectly happy to play the contest as is, i would actually like the trip and spending money if i was fortunate enough to win. sorry

I had 2nd place all but wrapped up for the monthly contest but Houston decided to give up a late inning lead the other day and cost me. We still have some people alive for the monthly prizes so it should get real interesting.

interesting proposition on the prize distribution...I would definitely be willing to include a 2nd place prize and consider one for 3rd too.

I think the sticking point is that the trip is worth more than the $2500 acct, so to allow first place to take the trip the others would have to split the spending money instead of the acount money.

Having said that, should I be fortunate enough to win the trip, I would be willing to give it up if the price is right.

i propose if 1 us 3 win the contest that we take the $2500 account instead of the trip

and have VIP put

$1800 in the winners account
$500 whoever between the 3 of us finishs higher
$200

ex

kdmfox wins contest

gets $1800
you finsish higher than me you get $500
then i get $200

I'm getting too confused here ... Having someone take the trip and the rest split the spending $ gives me a headache ... I personally don't plan on taking the trip if I win ... What happens if stump finishes 2nd or 3rd? ... Because he opted out of a deal that leaves him out and we pass over him? ... I know he has said he wants the trip.

Also, while we're on the subject of prizes, I think it's a bit unfair that if the winner takes the trip there are no strings attached to it ... But if the winner takes the 2,500, which is presumably worth less than the trip and $1000, then there is a 3x rollover requirement.

I can go about any which way on this contest ... I'm pretty confident that I can win this thing but on a personal note I have fought the good fight here for almost 5 months and haven't won a dime ... I assess my chances of winning at about 60% as I have a narrow lead and 40% to finish 2nd ... I do not think I'll fall to 3rd or 4th but one never knows.

There have been 4 months that have gone by and 12 winners that have collected 2,400, yet I sit atop the overall lead ... It is likely that a 5th will go by with 15 winners collecting 3,000 and I'll still be on top with nothing to show for it ... If someone was to have painted that scenario to me before this thing got rolling I'd say they were crazy.

well kdmfox you had 3rd place and i don't understand you making a pick until someone trys and passes you then would have collected at least a $100 for a monthly prize.
