Nicky vs Archie

Nicky is not a basketball player but form does not matter just for shooting with no one guarding you. He probably has good rotation on the ball which makes him a decent stand alone shooter. Archie shoots a heavy ball therefore his percentage will be lower.

If they played one on one, Archie would get by him most times and win but a stand alone shooting contest Nicky would win.

i might have an uncanny style, but i am at least AUTOMATIC from beyond the arc.. i am a 44% lifetime shooter from downtown, a 68% shooter from the field and a 64% lifetime free throw shooter..

i dont miss archie.. and i shoot better when the game is on the line.. i am 5% higher than my avg when the game is on the line. archie, i am a money shooter.. i shoot better when we're down 98-97 with 12 seconds to go.. i want the ball in this situation and you know damn well i am sinking it, too, because i am a money player. archie, i am clutch.

Nicky why are you only a 64% shooter from the line? A solid 44% 3 pt shooter should be much better than that from the stripe. Your mechanics look ok.....Is it a mental block.....?

archie, it's obvious you are much quicker than me.. if we played 1 on 1, you'd have a hard time beating me. i might be slower than you, but i am tough to defend.. my inside game is strong and i am tough inside. i use my weight to my advantage. i'll have a hard time defending you though if you are quick, but defending me wont be easy. i am strong inside. and IF you always give me the outside shot, the game will be over quickly. i can sink 11 in a row from 15 feet out. you better be all over me, or i will end it fast. i am a very good shooter.

who would win?

Archie is not that quick just quick hands, he might not be that hard to stay in front of.

Nicky you have no elevation in a one on one game and your not an off the dribble shooter. Nicky your a stand alone shooter with no one guarding you. I mean you can back him down at times but in the long run he would have mores stops than you.

Chi would be a -170 favorite in a one on one.

Nicky would be -135 in a shooting contest

Good question slicker. i used to be good from the stripe, but i'm very good from downtown. 5 yrs ago, i used to be in the mid 70's, at 76% from the stripe, but for some reason, i struggle from the free throw line now.

If i work on my Free throws this spring, i will be back at 76% again.. in my next spring basketball vid, i will have mastered the Free throws again. i am going to go out and shoot a few thousand shots..

jj, i dont know about -170.. i might shock you here. archie will never be able to stop my fade away shot. if i take it inside on him and then stop for the fade, i can sink in 11 straight and he can never stop that shot.

jj, i have beaten many brothers in a 1 on 1 many times in my life, including last summer. i beat a 6'9 brother who plays big time pick up games at the YMCA 11-8 and 11-9 in a best of 3.. i am very strong inside and tough to defend. and my jump shot is pretty good and once i get hot, i dont miss.

I think the unorthodox form makes it a little harder to be consistent from short range. When I was a teenager I used to have a lot of range but was only like 50% from the line, I can shoot better from the line now but I always am more impressive the further out I am.

Wow I never saw that vid before...classic stuff with Nicky schooling that kid in hockey. I bet he is still crying and might never get over it.

I would have to take Archie in the game though...his razzle dazzle and dash would score him the victory.

i swear when i left the park 3 min after and said thanks to him and take care,he completely ignored me and didn't even acknowledge me. he completely snubbed me..he hated my guts.
