That's BS. My father's been a pro poker player for 20 years and he has his own little business. He plays poker at night and sleeps during the day. His phone wakes him up when he gets orders. What you're saying is not true.

This is a good tip though some of the young guys might be very good just not have the bankroll to work with, ad some guys have highers expenses than others.

5'er, I hear ya. I have to admit, since I stopped working, I have felt my capping skills have gotten better because of the time I have to spend towards capping. I think deep down if you want to make professional gambling your profession, you really need to make that a "job" and all others "jobs" need to go by the waistside. Just my opinion.

after 6,200 posts this guys got it all figured out,dont work and you`ll be ok, work and you won`t make it as a gambler.

5teamer got some people riled. Let me ask you this which may stir the pot:

Does your criteria for "gamblers who work" include touts, shills, and subordinates for websites like this? They obviously aren't able to support themselves with their wagers and need propping up. Are they all not to be trusted sir?

fiver, don't you also understand that there are plenty of kids here who live at home, go to school and their parents give them some money and they stay home and gamble 10 dollar parlays with it, rather than working.

and then you have your adults here who just dont want to work and collect either welfare or some sort of govt check and bet 50 bucks a game with it and refuse to work cause they're lazy.

then you have your people who made some money from the past and have some saved up from either inheritance from rich parents, OR just worked hard when younger, saved some money and now gamble and hate to work and are betting off this and living off this to gamble.

not everyone that stays home all day are making a living gambling. most are just too lazy to get a job and are gambling with $$ in bank acct saved, or some sort of govt checks they recieve, be it welfare, unemployment or anything and just hate to work.

actually no deposits this month,i imploded for a 200k loss earlier in the season,which sent me directly to purgatory,of which i have just recently exited.

by the way im the last one to have a regular job, believe me!

just thought your comment was silly.

I have a regular job, gambling is a hobby to me. Anyone who tries to make it as a Pro gambler is setting themselves up for failure once the IRS catches them.

I can honestly say that if I was'nt working I would be a better capper. But I manage at Enterprise and thats time consuming. Sometimes I have my laptop at my desk trying to do what I can do but it's hard.

But I can honestly say my career come first, but if I had days to research things than I can be a better capper.

Baseball season and football season is an exception I just know those sports really well. I did a hell of a job during college football season but this basketball season is another story. I also kill baseball totals.
