#1 sign that capping at SBR is NOT at an all time high, the guys that think they're at the top are starting threads self-proclaiming themselves as great cappers Just logic. Every poster mentioned posts -ev plays and is a coin flipper at best. The old guard never had to self-proclaim shit, we knew we were killing it and didn't have to run to the internets looking for e-cred. E-cred is the currency amongst guys like Benny and Konck. It's sad. Guys like myself, Mathdotcom, Monkeyfocker, ExtraInnings, JJ, TrixTrix, Archie,Baus, 4LC, BillySink, Rito, Ganch, J7, Opie(under his old name) and at least a dozen others used to rake the books. It wasn't about just betting sides and totals on the major sports, we'd find angles on props in the smallest markets. Now every play posted is a side in one of the major markets. Rookies! I laugh so hard when I see a thread by Deemer saying how good he is because he is up 10 units seriously. Konck and Benny the same way. They go on these micro runs and start "look at me" threads. It's ridiculous. It's a completely differetn era of kids that don't even have the slightest clue what they're doing. Most of the good cappers are gone because the angles are gone or at least aren't worth the time spent anymore. Now you have to work thrice as hard to find a 1/3 of the angles. I don't expect the newer guys to understand this because they're looking for attention not angles. They're loaded at one or two books max and don't even know how to pick the low hanging apples at exchanges. They wouldn't have the slightest clue how to find an angle. They're the new crew, the greatest ever

I don't think this is a very fair comparison. Most of the people on your list never posted plays for various reasons. And when they did they posted so many as they were following their model or posted after the fact that neither helped the average person here. I do agree with konck that the plays posted by cappers lately have been much better than what we used to get before. Usually those are in the subforums, case in point Wimbledon, but that just means people have to venture out of PT to get them. Having a model or bonus whoring or attacking props at books most of us wouldn't give $5 to is great for those of you who are into that but the majority of posters don't fall into any of those categories. They want to talk sports and suss out what they think is a decent team/player to bet on after reading and sharing different opinions. That's it.

I think you're probably right and I was just being sensitive at the time. Honestly, while I stand by everything I posted, it was more of a 'the older guys just had more opportunities to make more money than the younger guys' response. It's just harder to make money now. Obviously not impossible but books risk management have improved significantly, hell, they've got Scott over at heritage ffs. Nobody's gonna take Heritage to the woodshed. None if this applies though to a rec gambler.
