Does anyone know how much a MLB

umpire makes per year. The travel must be brutal during the season but I'm sure they have an awesome expense account and get to travel to all the great ball parks and cities throughout the country. I think I would be a very solid MLB umpire, I wouldn't take any shit from anyone. When do classes start? How do I get involved? I know that I would start at Rookie League or A-Ball and have to work my way up. Is it worth it? I could also fix games. Just kidding of course.

not a bad gig but think how hard it m ust be to make it to the majors. Only about 60 MLB full time jobs. and your competeing against how many people? almost better odds of learning a knuckleball and making it to the igs that way.

yeah I was gonna guess 100,000 for a new umpire all the way up to 250,000 for vets that do the playoffs ect
