received an email from this outfit backed by platinum, they offered me a bonus so i decided to suffer through a 30 day hold.i called in a bet today, was told 500 limit,no problem, ill have to deal with low limit.i bet on kc+138.i then receive a phone call from manager telling me my bet was cancelled(luckily i was home to take call)and my small $1000 deposit will be returned to me LESS the transfer fees.they are afraid to take action from someone who bets large on underdogs-what a shit shop.avoid unless the above sounds good to you

#2Actually, betwho were in the papers over here quite a bit. I think Roger Daltrey was just using his name to get free publicity but there you go. Apparently, he reckons betwho will be bigger than mansion within two years.
They are also going to have bookie stalls at all their concerts in future.Comment -

#6I would like to point out that Steve requested his account to be closed. We called him and explained to him that we only take action on recreational players, before we could explain to him that we were going to lower his limits even more..
He said look I don`t want any problems, if you don`t want my action or any of my bodies action then you can always cancell my bet and return my money. So we said find we will take option A , So we closed the account and retrun his money. Betwho is not here to scam anybody from there cash, but we are also not here to be taken advantage of...

#7Taking a $500 bet on KC on the line you hung is "being taken advantage of"?

If they don't have confidence in their lines, they shouldn't put them up. When I check the vegas lines, it's obvious that certain vegas books just won't put up lines for certain games when it's too obvious who will win, that's how you take care of being taken advantage of!
I guess these guys don't feel confident in any of their lines. A sportsbook taking a bet (on the worst team in baseball no less) is "being taken advantage of"! Wow!Comment -

#12Well I can`t argue that, a $500 bet can`t be considered any threat to any sportsbook.Comment -

#15A book has a right to limit its exposure by refusing action from sharp players. That is par for the course.
Two things I don't like about this: 1. The book cancelled a fair bet after it was made; and 2. The book charged the player a transfer fee when the book forced the issue.
A better way to resolve this would be: 1. Give action on the bet, but refuse any more bets; 2. Eat the transfer fees; and 3. Give a pro-rata portion of the bonus.
If you want me to write the book on your behalf (regarding the fees), feel free to contact me at justin@sportsbookreview.com or assistance@sportsbookreview.com.Comment -

#21heres the latest news on this joint:
11.13.2006 (12:49 PM CST)
BetWho (SBR rating C-) unjustly confiscates $1,700 of player’s winnings. Management tells SBR that their bonus is meant for recreational players only and that half of this ’sharp’ player’s winnings was taken because it derived from the $100 bonus (on $100 deposit). SBR to ask ownership to correct this error by paying the player $1,700 and a prorated portion of the $100 bonus.Comment
