    help please
i am very new to online gambling and i just want some opinions on what the best sportsbooks out there are. i plan on only betting for recreational purposes, no high limit wagers for me. i am looking for easy deposit and withdrawal options. i have narrowed (somewhat) my search down to beted and betjamaica. please give me thoughts on these sites, i would greatly appreciate other recommendations as well. thank you

I think BetJamaica or 5dimes would be a good option for you.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

Betjamaica (SBR Rated A+) is probably the better choice overall, however BetEd (SBR Rated B-) does offer better payment solutions for U.S. players in regards to depositing.

wow thanks for the quick responses...are both sites secure financially? also, one thing that attracted me to beted was the option to bet player against player. ie chris paul vs steve nash points in a specified game. is this something that only beted offers or does betjamaica also have this available? i guess i am just looking for the easiest and safe sportsbook around

Both books are pretty financially sound IMO, however Betjamaica (SBR Rated A+) does offer the better service/product overall.

If you like props you need to consider 5Dimes. They are very safe and have a lot of props. Good luck to whoever you choose.

i did look into 5dimes but their deposit methods were a little too complicated for me. i was looking for something with a simple check card deposit. i was a little wary at first of the extensive process of the deposit methods (signed credit card, bank account number etc etc) but it seems like this is the standard of all sportsbooks

True about 5Dimes. Your first deposit needs to be done by Western Union or Moneygram. After 30 days of plays they open up their rest of the deposit methods, including echecks, ************* and others.

The Greek and Jazzsports are both excellent options Newbie!

Why? No bullshit payouts. 5Dimes is cool, but I always considered the site too 90's gay looking. They do offer fantastic betting options though, but I can get that mostly at the Greek. Jazzsports is a no bullshit book that pays. Im willing to spend a few extra bucks knowing my money is safe.

                        Goodluck!

Bookmaker sucks for both soccer and baseball. There soccer lines are a total rip off.

The Greek uses full 20 cent lines in baseball as well.

Yeah I only bet NBA, NFL and MLB at this point. I will be looking to expand the number of books I use at some point I am sure as my bankroll grows. Still good with one for now.

I recently signed up with Skybook as a 3rd option and so far I HATE the software they use. The website is not very user friendly and they do not post CBB over night or even in the morning as far as I can tell. I have been waiting for props for the NFL games today and they are still not posted!

This is good to know seeing I like the props... But something I wanted to mention is bet jam lets you wager very small(think min at 5dimes is $20 or $50)...think it is either $2 or $5 at bet jam. This is nice when you just want to have a little action. I do not pretend to be a big player, but when I want to can drop a nice amount. I like the small bets and do this once in a while just to avoid to much silly overbetting and chasing. Bet jam been very fast with my account updates...

If you are looking for easy deposit/withdrawal, you might want to look for sportsbooks that offer e-wallet (such as Moneybookers and Neteller) so that you will be on the go.

5Dimes have good odds but no free withdrawal. that sux. Although i do not like Betcris' withdrawal delays , they have free payout option if you have 2500 lotality points. Also they offer alot sport options than 5dimes. But it is up to you ofcourse.
