    Just a brainstorm. If avatars were required to be sports related pics...
    I believe that would psychologically make the board more to form, remind us why we are here, and keep us thinking about sports. It may keep us focused on sports and think more about the games. It just came to me. Don't hang me for thinking, please. JJ put me in the corner last night. I'd like to look around tonight.

              Even though mine is not sports, I wouldn't care one way or another as I have them turned off.

                  No, gawd no. So many reasons, I don't know where to start.

                  Basically I don't even get the motivation for the idea. There is no problem with avatars. I mean, there is always someone bitching about someone's avatar or something someone is doing on the forum - but that's just the nature of the beast.

                  The problem is that people don't understand why the world doesn't revolve around their little issues. Either they figure it out or they don't. Nothing SBR can legislate about that.

                  There are a few basic standards around avatars and that is sufficient.

                  IMO you are trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

                      I have rarely used them and mine are always disabled. I think they are silly and immature.

                          I believe setting such a limitation on what we MUST place in our avatars vs. what we should NOT put in there is a better angle.

                          Personally all the different avatars people put that make themselves stand-out whether its sports, woman, cars, whatever I know it helps me recognize the poster far before I look at their name.

                                          General, as much as this forum is sports related, making avatars streamlined solely to sports is like having a dress code in school. Avatars are some people's form of expression. Granted, lately the moaning and groaning about certain peoples avatars has come to fruition, but I have seen threads on here quite comical about peoples avatars that have made for a great read.
