He's meaningless on base in the ninth. He's at first, the winning run is at second. Passed ball the runner at second who has a good jump gets to third, Buck tries to take second. Out by a mile. He's meaningless!!!!

Miggy should be shot. Game should be over. Byrd was dead to rights at home and he dropped it.

OMG. I didn't see that.
I was wondering what happened. So he made the third out at second when the winning run was on third? LMAO.

I've seen a lot of dumbass base running mistakes just in the last few days. Guys will be at second, in scoring position with one out, then they will try to advance to third base on a fly ball and make the third out at third base.
They teach in little league not to do that since you're already in scoring position.
Making the final out at second base in the bottom of the 9th when the winning run is on third and your run is meaningless is just flat out stupid.
Making it to second really doesn't help you with two outs in that situation. It only takes away the force out but the risk is way greater than the reward.

The stupidity of some of these guys when it comes to the little things is borderline startling.
It's literally amazing to me that almost no one can bunt anymore.
The lack of fundamentals in MLB and NBA -- among "professionals" -- is embarrassing.

Its the multiyear, guaranteed contracts.
Even if the Mets cut Buck, they still have to pay him in full

I've also gotten sick of seeing guys go up there and strike out consistently like it's no big deal. It used to be a really bad thing to strike out. Now it's just kind of so what.
Every time I flip over and see guys like Uggla and Dunn batting it seems like they're striking out. Uggla will swing as hard as he can every pitch and not even come close to making contact. It's comedy. Even with two strikes. They don't even try to change their approach and they don't even make the pitcher throw strikes. You could pretty much through it anywhere except behind them and they're going to swing as hard as they can.

The avg strikeouts per game is higher now than at any point in history. Even little guys swing for the fences.

Because genius Gibby intentionally walked him after he struck out 3 times already and was 0 for 4. Good job, skip.
