The Eagles defense matches up well with this Cardinals team. The Eagles simply blitzes the hell out of the QB and force him to get rid of the ball early. Warner is not mobile enough to scramble and I expect a lot of sacks. The Eagles will also force Warner to throw a couple of pics. You heard it first hear. Yea the Cardinals got fantastic recievers but Warner have to have time to get it to them, and he wont. The Eagles defense will not allow Warner to sit in the pocket and throw it deep to Fitzgerald and Bolden. The Blitz will be coming from all places.

#6 Philadelphia Eagles 11 - 6 - 1 (-4.0) @ #4 Arizona Cardinals 11 - 7 (+4.0)
Defense defense defense. It is hard to pick against a team like the Cardinals the way they have been rolling, but you could argue the Eagles are running just as hot. But more importantly than running hot, the Eagles are by far the best defense that the Cardinals have faced so far in these playoffs. Atlanta ranked 24th in total yards given up, and 21st in passing yards given up; Carolina was 18th in total yards and 16th in passing yards. Neither team even had a better than average defense. The Eagles? They finished 3rd in both categories. That is a huge difference. Also worth noting, the Falcons and the Cardinals rely on getting their running game going to have success; and since the Cardinals were able to stop the run, they were able to control and win the game. The Eagles DON'T need to establish the rushing game to get the pass going, meaning that even if Arizona can stop the rush, that doesn't mean they will in turn be able to stop the pass. I have a lot of respect for the Arizona Cardinals, and they certainly have had the look of a "team of destiny" vibe to this point, but I'm going to bank on that being due to the average defenses they've been up against. Both defenses are playing at a high enough level to keep this game Under 47, and I believe that the better team in the Eagles prevails by 6 points or more.

I agree with everything all of you have said, really. The Eagles D is great. I have been thinking Pennsylvania SB all week. Vegas Dave says Eagles should be a 6 point fav and I agree and thought it would open that way. BUT, it didnt, it started at 3.5, I am floored and wanting to jump on it (put on the brakes). I know we can't all be on the same ticket and good luck. I just believe in the "if it looks good it probably aint" theory.

I'm usually on the "If it looks good it probably ain't" theory also, but keep in mind this game opened at -3.0 and has moved to -4.0... the fact that it has moved with the action leads me to believe it isn't a trap type of game. Read around the board, lots like the Cardinals... they have played outstandingly so far and have made believers out of a lot of people. As such I think the line makes sense at 4.0... but I still believe it isn't a line indicative of the talent of these two teams. But we will see.

I like the Cards in this game too, getting to control their destiny at home is the biggest advantage. They are peeking right now, they owned both teams they played so far. The Cards lost twice this year at home, a 8 point loss to the Giants, after giving up 17 in the 2 Q, and a 21 point loss to the Vikings, giving up 21 point 1 Q.
Warner is playing well, James is running well...

The Eagles beat the defending SB Champs, which was a great defensive game for them. NY was inside the red zone 5x, coming away with 9 points. They have the experience of being there before, but see a let down lurking. The trip out west will be the deciding factor, and the way their season has progressed they have lost the 4th game of a winning streak twice this year. They are comfortable being one dimensional...

I think the Eagles overall are the better team, but I see the Cards peeking and playing 60 minutes of football.

Cards were peeking at the victory...and peaking on the field.

Pitts/Balt should be a good game. BAlt does not belong in this game, Tenn gave them a gift last week, and their offense was horrible, and the defense did enough to rattle Collins.

Pitts defense has been devastating all year long, they win this game and face the Cards in Tampa.

Thanks, it played out just like their other home losses, only they gave up 13 in the 3rd, but only after scoring 17 in the 2nd.

I see Pitt and the Cards in the SB...I am a long time, die hard Steelers fan, but leaning towards the Cards against who ever right now. They will be the dogs, and will pound Baltimore and edge by the Steelers.

I don't think anyone should follow anyone's selections blindly, whether the person making the picks is betting them or not. Someone betting their picks or the amount they bet on them doesn't make the pick any better or worse.

If you agree with my analysis and decide to play what I pick, that is your decision. If you decide to disagree with me and bet the other way, thats okay too. Everyone on this site is an adult and they can make their own decisions on what to do with their money.

My assessment and breakdown of a game doesn't change whether I have no money on it or $2000 on it... I personally don't see how it is relevant.

But I respect your opinion. I certainly hope everyone was on Arizona and the Over now that I've seen results of the game!
