it varies. if you are a multi millionaire, and have a serious gambling problem, and are betting 5k a game, you probably lose about 2 million a year.. if you are broke and living day to day and you are betting 20 dollar parlays, you probably lose 2k a year gambling..

if you are a big cocaine/drug addict and you are rich, you could spend 1/4 million a yr on drugs, and if you are broke as hell, then your drug addiction can only cost you about $150/week.

The addiction that costs you more depends how much money you have and how bad your addiction is.

Archer, Chicago and Toronto get similar weather, the cold you describe doesn't happen here that often, our winters see temperatures bounce back and forth from above to below freezing.

When it gets to the temps you mention, the city issues a cold weather alert, strange for a Canadian city you would think, but Toronto isn't very far north compared to most places in Canada, we're pretty close to being on the same latitude as northern California.

Some do, some don't.

Some are completely dependent, maybe some people are "addicted" to those type of (less costly) women, but smoke bags of weed and gambler thousands of dollars away a day.
