Osgood is a below par goaltender overall. Put him on a bad team and see how he does. Guaranteed he is sent to the minors or a backup his whole career. Anyone who truly follows the game knows he has been blessed with being in a fortunate situation with a powerhouse team that usually allows 15-20 shots a game. If I could describe him in one word its OVERRATED.

Not saying he is Terry Sawchuck here at all, he is one of the better goalies in the league save for save. He has huge saves in almost every game.

DG, it could also be said that if you put any goalie on a bad team theyll most likely have a pretty bad run - Osgood is a decent goalie at times but at other times you'd think he doesn't know where he is. Osgood is lucky he has great D looking after him. But my respect has lifted for him because of that save he did in the last minute of the anaheim match. That won detroit the match in my opinion, the momentum and crowd wouldve lifted the Ducks over in OT or SO.

He is. And it is very obvious. Conklin .919 sv% this year, compared to .885 sv% for Osgood. He should be starting.
