28 years of gambling experience. I made my first bet in 1980. It was a prop bet.
Will the US boycott the Moscow Olympics?
No -110
Yes -110

Bet 5¢ on the Colt .45s finishing above the Cubs in the NL standings in 1962. Lousy, no-good Cubs fan welshed on the bet at the end of the season

Pete Runnels, Roman Mejias, Bob Aspromonte, Bob Lillis, Turk Farrell and Hal Woodeshick were favorites in that first season, 1962. And later there were others like Rusty Staub, Joe Morgan, Jimmy Wynn, Walt Bond and Don Nottebart. The Astrodome opened in 1965. At the time, it was called the Harris County Domed Stadium. But during the 1964 season, the team was threatened with a lawsuit from Colt Firearms for logo and copyright infringement for using the Colt .45 name. So they decided to rename the team the Astros, with NASA then in the area, and the stadium became the Astrodome.

I bet on ponies around 8, but got going in sports betting back in 1991 with parlay cards and then onto a local bookie and then onto Cris and then blah blah blah, here we are with little to show for it. Been betting for a long time, I'll be 40 this month. Still a lot to accomplish I hope. My daughter says I am crazy because of my coaching techniques from the sideline, but hey, I need to keep up somehow. Still a little pissed about Not getting the Colt gig yesterday. Polian could have at least interviewed me. Between poker, ponies and sports, at least 18 years of playing the game(s). Still have much to learn.

richkas is not only the most experienced gambler here, and not only has he gambled, but he's also taken bets as a bookie, as we once saw in his vid 2 months ago taking a bet on the phone. he's also street smart bookie, whereas he worked as a thug collector picking up bad debts. richie used to go knocking on people's door that were not paying and he'd beat the shit out of them and they'd pay on the spot. richie has done 2 prison sentences from this..
Richie's been around this biz forever. he used to also deliver suitcases of drugs for the East STL mafia, and was their most successful collector to date. richie would make 30% of those bad debts that he collected. That's why richie has alot of money today.

Got to be SBR John, what is he 105 years old or so? I think he capped the first Harvard/Yale game and gave out the winner to his close pals. No one else is close, it has to be John.

Actually I think John is right around my age, give or take a year or two. We're old but we're no Willie Bees.
